Run temporary works to BS 5975, and get quantities from drawings

Two big additions this fortnight, plus a run of improvements to generated documents and registers.

What's new

• Temporary works, managed properly. Designs, permits and inspections now live together against the item they belong to. Design approval is derived from the permit chain rather than someone remembering to flip a status, and permits expire on their own so a register never quietly reads as current when it isn't.
• Independence you can evidence. For CAT 2 and CAT 3 designs, PlanOps checks that the checker isn't the designer before a permit can be signed, and the register carries the BS 5975 interim columns and minor sign-offs. When an auditor asks who checked what, the answer is in the record.
• Inspections that chase themselves. Inspection schedules attach to the item, overdue inspections surface on the dashboard, and reminders escalate on a cadence you set. Fewer weekly inspections found missing at the point someone needs them.
• Quantities from a drawing comparison. When a revision changes what's on the drawing, PlanOps can now assess the material quantities that changed, flag whether the drawing is suitable to take off from, and export the result to CSV. A design change becomes a number you can price while it's still a design change.
• Generated documents that pull in your other documents. Compose a document and drop in whole documents, chosen pages, linked records or a live register block. Embedded material expands to full pages on PDF export, so what you send out is the complete pack, not a set of references.
• Share a generated document without an account. Generated documents now render on public share pages, with a status watermark so nobody mistakes a draft for the issued version.
• Registers you can steer. The register builder has moved into the workspace with its own home, a filter bar, a live preview as you build, and people and companies as a source alongside your project items.
• Better search across the workspace. Workspace items now appear in top-level search, results are ranked on one relevance scale rather than per collection, and a slow or failing sub-search no longer takes the whole result set down with it.
• RAMS requests with less back and forth. Requests pre-fill the recipient, let you attach supporting documents, and carry standard guidance to the sub-contractor so what comes back is closer to what you asked for first time.

Why it matters

Temporary works and drawing revisions are two places where the record and the reality drift apart quietly, then cost you at handover or in a disputed claim. Both changes here are about the drift showing up early, in a register or a quantity, while it's still cheap to deal with.
